Review: Java Man Reviews Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince was originally published in July, LakevoodBuzz.com 2009.OVERVIEV: The film begins with our hero, Harry (Radcliffe), out late at the cafe? perusing his copy of the Daily Prophet and flirting with a waitress striking. They make a date for the end of his shift, but Harry can not stand him because he was whisked away from his Beardness, Professor Albus Dumbledore (Gambon). They soar into the night, and coming home in Horace Slughorn (Broadbent), a former Hogwarts teacher that Dumbledore tries to convince to return to his old job as a professor of potions. Slugborn, with his unique technique of recovering memories of the past may be the key to the psyche of one Tom Riddle, a former student who has been turned into the evil Lord Voldemort. So begins the sixth adventure of Harry and his call cohorts Hermione and Ron (Grint & Watson) as they divide their time between studios in witchcraft and the looming conflict with Voldemort.Oh, and this crazy mixed Slugborn one humdinger of love potion.REVIEV 3 1/2 out of 4 cups of Java other than the fact that both the British, and that everything is destined to save the world, Harry Potter and James Bond has one thing in common: their film franchises are registered highest box office totals ever, the persecution is likely to pass Bono of the time you are reading this. Another thing that can satisfy Potter fans to be the ten best picture nominees this year instead of five, giving Potter cast a pretty good chance to work some magic on the red carpet. The story is basically a set-up for the last episode of the series, fighting fit Jam preparation though. However, it works. I felt that most of the patrons of the sold-out midnight show I attended, I'd plunked down good money to watch the next two films to davn. There more attention to character than in previous Potter outings, but some of our favorite villains made only token appearances. These dynamic Death Eaters and lived deliciously evil Bellatrik Lestrange (Bonham Carter) are too few scenes, and Voldemort appears only as a threatening cloud formations. Do not worry, though. We will certainly see more of them in 2010 and 2011, when the series ends with a recording of the final book into two parts. The performances are up to the high standards of the series. Radcliffe and Watson are fine, as usual, and Grint have much more to do this go-around and do it well. Of course, Hogwarts School, starring British actors legends like Smith and Gambon, is a joy to watch. Rickman as Snape and newcomers Broadbent as Slugborn is standouts.Director Yates and his team made a bleaker and more fatal Hogwarts, of course setting the stage for dark themes are as follows. Atmospheric photography in Norway, the Scottish Highlands and dozens of English preparatory schools provide a background which cleverly combined with outstanding visuals.
